1. What sets WeCARE Medical Office from other practices?

       Our practice allows for personalized care for each patient. We don't rush our patients out the door. Time is allotted for each patient in order for all of their complaints to be addressed appropriately. Our focus is making the patient healthy and keeping them there. In order to accomplish this, Dr. Valenzuela is available via phone, text, email, video conferencing, and of course in-person visits. 

2. Why charge a membership fee?

       The membership fee allows Dr. Valenzuela to make herself available for her patients and toprovide the vast majority of their primary care. It allows members to just see the doctor; without worrying about co-pays and deductibles. 

3. What if I am healthy and rarely go to the doctor?

       That is exactly what Dr. Valenzuela wants for her patients. That is why she dedicates more time for prevention and lifestyle changes. Her primary focus is to keep all members well and help them avoid lots of "medical" care. Of course, she is available for emergencies as well.  

4. Does WeCARE Medical Office accept health insurance?

       No. By not billing insurance, we are able to focus more time on you and spend less on processing bills and dealing with insurance companies. Since you pay us directly, you never have to worry about changing doctors if your insurance changes.

5. Can I afford membership at WeCARE Medical Office?

       The monthly fee is very reasonable. The yearly amount of the membership fee is less than what most people pay for their deductible alone. Not to include the exorbitant monthly premium and hidden costs that come with traditional healthcare insurance.

6. As a patient of WeCARE Medical Office, will I still need health insurance?

       We recommend that patients continue to carry a major medical plan in order to ensure financial help should hospitalization or referral to a specialist be necessary. Some patients have chosen to enroll in a high deductible plan with emergency care provisions. This has significantly lowered their monthly premium for health insurance.

7. If I have Medicare or Medicaid, can I still join WeCARE Medical Office?

       Yes. You only need to sign a one-time waiver declaring that neither you nor your doctor will directly bill Medicare or Medicaid for medical services rendered by us. Medicare or Medicaid will still cover any laboratory testing, imaging, medications, or hospitalizations prescribed by our offices. 

8. What happens if I need to go to the hospital or see a specialist?

       Our intent is to prevent or reduce hospitalizations and specialty referrals. However, in instances where those types of care are required, we will certainly continue to treat you during your hospital stay and work closely with any specialist assigned to you. 

9. Can children become members of WeCARE Medical Office?

       Yes, as long as a parent joins. Dr. Valenzuela became a family physician in order to provide care to patients of all ages (including newborns).

10. Can I contact my provider after hours?

       By all means! For matters that are not urgent, you may use our secure patient portal to access your medical record and then message Dr. Valenzuela.. Those messages will be responded to within 24 hours. You may also call the office number and it will automatically be forwarded to Dr. Valenzuela's cell phone.

11. What if I need medical attention while away from home?

       Many illnesses can be diagnosed and treated with a simple conversation by phone, email, or video conference. We’ll locate the nearest pharmacy and order the medications most appropriate for your circumstances. In a few circumstances, you may need to seek care from an urgent care center.

12. What happens if the Dr. Valenzuela is on vacation or not available?

       For planned vacations, all patients will be notified in advance so that they can arrange to be seen or have their medications refilled while the doctor is still available. Additionally, coverage will be arranged with a local physician for all urgent matters. In the rare event that the doctor is not readily available, then a visit to urgent care may be required. However, you should always call the doctor first.

13. Are my medical records shared with pharmaceutical companies or insurance carriers?

       Unless specifically asked by you, we never provide any third party with any information about you.

14. Can I pay per visit?

       Yes. We accept major credit cards, CashApp, PayPal, and checks.

15. Can I cancel anytime?

       There are no commitments and you can cancel at any time.  However, if you choose to join again, there is a $200 re-initiation fee.

16. How will I know if WeCARE Medical Office is for me?

       Schedule a free meet and greet visit with Dr. Valenzuela and discuss your healthcare needs. It’s the only reasonable way to begin what we know will be a long, productive, and a healthy relationship.
